CASCADE CHAPTER - SOCIETY OF FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERS
Speaker: David Tucker, MPA
Topic: Emergency Preparedness for Work & Home
David Tucker, a long-time member of our chapter and the chapter's current speaker coordinator will share his thoughts and insights into how to be better prepared for a situation that is out of the ordinary - one that requires us to successfully adapt to unforeseen changes that stress the infrastructure of our community, our workplace, and our own homes and families.
Since 1979, David has been employed in positions directly related to the protection of people and property. These have included positions in search and rescue, law enforcement, the fire service, and as a safety and fire protection professional in heavy industry. In his younger years, he was an Eagle Scout and a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
He holds several college degrees and for this topic he will draw from his lifetime of hands-on experiences in addition to his AAS degree in Emergency Management from Clackamas Community College.
