Specializes in Emergency Communication Systems ranging from Area of Refuge Systems, Nurse Call Systems, and DAS BDA Systems. Knowledgeable in system manufacturing, system design, and applicable code requirements.
Course Material: The course will contain information regarding the main purpose of emergency responder DAS and BDA including the problems they solve, how they are solved, when they are needed, and the applicable codes revolving around the systems and their enforcement. This includes various NFPA sections, IFC 510, and UL 2524, which is a relatively new standard. DAS and BDA typically consist of a network of antennas and signal boosters so that emergency responders have proper communication pathways to each other and their local dispatch.
