Northwest NFSA and SFPE members are invited to join a virtual meeting of the Puget Sound and Columbia-Willamette NFSA chapters

The NFSA April chapter meetings have moved to the Microsoft Teams Live platform—please join us at noon on Wednesday, April 15 by using the link below for full audio and visual participation. If you would like to call in (audio only), a phone number and conference ID number are also provided.  No fee is requested for this session.

Our guest speaker is Mark R. Mannex, PE, FPE, discussing “Electric Fire Pump Power Supplies.” Mr. Mannex will address the sometimes confusing interaction between NFPA 70 and NFPA 20, normal and emergency power, the performance goals which form the bases of the standards’ guidelines, examples of the several code allowed power supply arrangements, the different levels of reliability associated with those designs, and why Authorities Having Jurisdiction should be involved early at design conception.

Mr. Mannex is an Assistant Vice President with FM Global in the Bellevue WA office. With over 39 years of experience in fire protection, he is an internal consultant to other FM Global engineers on special projects. Prior to joining FM Global, Mr. Mannex was a consulting engineer for fifteen years, and has been a Professional Member of SFPE since 1992.
